What is academic advising and what it seeks to achieve
Academic advising is an ongoing and intentional teaching and learning practice that empowers the student in their learning and development process to explore and align their personal, academic and career goals. It strives to provide a professional advisory service to students related to their academic career and personal, emotional, social and financial wellbeing. This is housed at the Teaching and Learning Centre, known as TLC in both Alice and East London campus.
